In the secondary section of schooling, Cambridge Checkpoint is the first qualification awarded to students. Cambridge offers a variety of subjects like Mathematics, Sciences, Languages and Global perspectives.
Explore the structured path to success with Cambridge Checkpoint at Optimus Academy, your trusted Cambridge tuition centre. Cambridge Checkpoint has a prescribed syllabus content for all the subjects. Students are supposed to prepare the syllabus and appear for the Checkpoint examination. Generally the Checkpoint syllabus is spread over three academic years as Level 1 (Grade 6), Level 2 (Grade 7) and Level 3 (Grade 8). Students prepare for 3 levels and appear for Cambridge Checkpoint examination based on cumulative syllabus at the end of Grade 8.
Our Cambridge tuition centre gears students towards success by aligning with the rigours of Cambridge Checkpoint. Cambridge Checkpoint examinations are conducted twice in a calendar year, once in April and then in October. Most schools in India conduct Checkpoint examinations in the month of April. It’s noteworthy that students have to appear for their school’s terminal examinations as well besides Cambridge Checkpoint.
It’s important to know that not all schools make it mandatory to appear for Cambridge Checkpoint examinations to their students. Schools may follow Cambridge Checkpoint curriculum for 3 academic years mentioned above but they would keep appearing for Cambridge Checkpoint examination optional. Progression of students to the next level i.e. to Grade 9 will be decided based on results of terminal examination.
At Cambridge Checkpoint we prepare students for following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
